The Project Overview

Founder Zuleika Approached Studio Folk Lore to assist her in making Parkin & Gerrish the 'go-to online antique jewellery website'. It transpired that to fully optimise the site and make the most of our work together, we needed to rebuild the website using the updated version of Zuleika's chosen theme. Shopify sites are notoriously slow and this website was in need of some extra functionality to improve customer experience and the customer journey.

Shopify is has become much easier to customise, we added a discreet and sleek search bar, optimised fundamental SEO, added a custom blog and optimised the Product page and a whole host of other customer experience improvements. Full of gorgeous glamorous imagery and utterly delicious pieces of antique jewellery, the Parking and Gerrish website was slow. We set about compressing all imagery, removing hidden sections and stripped out the weight in the Shopify theme.

The result

After optimising the Parkin & Gerrish website the site now ranks B rather than F and scores higher that 90% for SEO, Accessibility and . We scoured the site for excess javascript and stripped out everything we could to make the theme light and fast. All images were optimised and we will keep an eye on search engine rankings to see how our copywriting magic does the trick. Such a pleasure to work with a bright and charming client.
